Dear Friends,

We are thinking of you, and hope this finds you safe and well.

We were looking forward to meeting up with you on May 8th for a special party to celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day, hosted by Age Concern with support from our friends at the Manx Legion and the Veterans Association.

Now, due to the Coronavirus restrictions, we have to postpone our VE Day event to a future date. We don’t yet know when, but we will arrange it as soon as we safely can. We are really looking forward to the time when we can all get together again and celebrate.

However, there will still be opportunities on May 8th which we can all join in from the safety of our own homes and be together in spirit. At 3:00pm on 8th May there will be a “Nations Toast to the Heroes of WW2”.

At the moment, to keep people safe, Age Concern Isle of Man is not able to run any of our activities, clubs or lifelong learning sessions. We are missing you and so looking forward to being able to get together again.

We are still running our confidential and friendly Information Helpline, which you can contact by telephone on 631740, or by email info@ageconcern.im

If you have any concerns about any issue, or have a problem and need help, or would just like a chat about anything – just call us. We would love to hear from you.

With very best wishes,

Helen Southworth
Chief Executive Officer
