Age Concern IOM announces that its long standing Chairman of the Board, Malcolm Kelly, has stepped down from this role after 32 years of dedicated service to the Charity and has now become Patron.

Under Malcolm’s tenure Age Concern IOM has made significant achievements regarding outreach in the Community through practical help and support.  These include the one time Day Centres and Meals on Wheels Service, to the development of the present day shops, various Lunch Clubs, activity groups, courses and advice centres.  

We thank Malcolm for his unwavering commitment and leadership over the years and being a guiding force behind Age IOM’s impact in advancing the growth and development of the Charity.  His prime objective has always been to provide support for the well-being for our senior generation.

Susan Swan was appointed as the incoming Chairperson by the Board of Trustees in April 2025.  She has acknowledged the honour of assuming this position and aims to build on the foundation laid by Malcolm.  She brings a strong background in education, experience of many non profit community appointments and shares a deep commitment to the values and mission of Age Concern IOM. 

The Trustees, Staff and Volunteers wish Malcolm much health and happiness in his retirement.
